Travelling to Spain with little ones? One thing you’ll definitely need is nappies (pañales) - and let’s be honest, nobody wants to waste holiday time hunting around confused about brands and prices. Don’t worry, we’ve done the legwork for you! 👣

Here’s your guide to the best places to buy nappies and pull-up pants in Spain, where to find the biggest sizes, and which brands are worth popping into your trolley.

DODOT IS THE SPANISH BRAND NAME FOR PAMPERS

Dodot = Pampers in Spain

If you’re looking for Pampers, you won’t find them on Spanish shelves. Instead, you’ll see Dodot. Same company (Procter & Gamble), same quality, just the Spanish name.

👉 Dodot is brilliant for leak protection and nights, but it’s not the cheapest. Think of it as the “premium” option. For everyday use, we’ve included our favourite cheaper heroes like Mercadona, Lidl, and Aldi — all perfectly good for holiday life.

Where to Buy Nappies in Spain

  • 🛒 Mercadona – Our Favourite All-Rounder 💛

    Brand: Deliplus (own brand)

    • Affordable, easy to find, surprisingly good quality.

    • Reliable enough for day-to-day and short trips.

    • Why we love it most: You’ll find a Mercadona almost everywhere in Spain, so it’s super convenient for tourists!

  • 🛒 Alcampo – Big Sizes & Great Variety

Brands: Alcampo Baby (own brand), Dodot, Huggies

    • Highlight: Pull-up pants go up to size 7 (+18kg) – perfect for bigger toddlers.

    • Prices: €0.29–€0.34 per nappy.

    • Best for: stocking up & wide choice.

  • 🛒 Carrefour – Big Range & Offers

    Brands: Dodot, Huggies, Carrefour Baby

    • Known for bulk deals and multi-buys.

    • Best for: longer stays & families who want value.

  • 🛒 Lidl – Lupilu Range

    Brand: Lupilu

    • Gentle on skin, award-winning in Europe.

    • Best for: daytime use & bargain hunters.

    • Downside: not as absorbent for overnight as Dodot.

  • 🛒 Aldi – Mamia Range

    Brand: Mamia

    • Similar to Lidl - eco-minded and cheap.

    • Best for: everyday use on a budget.

    • Downside: We have found these can leak if not put on snuggly at bedtime.

  • 🛒 Rossmann - Eco & Leak-Proof (But Harder to Find)

    Brand: Babydream (own brand)

    • Rossmann market their nappies as the most eco-friendly option.

    • From our own experience, they’re actually very leak-proof, which is a big plus.

    • Downside: Rossmann stores are few and far between in Spain, so you may not have one nearby.

Best for: Parents who prioritise eco credentials and don’t mind hunting down a store.

  • 💡 Leak Protection – Who Wins?

    • Dodot Baby-seco – best for nights & travel days.

    • 💰 Mercadona, Lidl & Aldi – cheap, cheerful, and reliable for everyday.

    • 🏃 Alcampo or Dodot Pants – best for active toddlers & potty training.
